STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES  

1.    Students are required to be on time and be prepared for class.

2.    All class materials are to be brought daily.

3.    Do not bring food or drinks to science class.  They are not allowed.  Exceptions may include laboratory experiments requiring such materials or special occasions.

 

4.  Respect for students, teachers, oneself and classroom property is expected of everyone. 

    Be courteous to all.  Disrespect of any kind (teasing, swearing, fighting, etc.) will not be tolerated.

5.  Students are expected to appropriately use the computers in the classrooms in accordance with Hudson Public School Policies.  Violation of these rules may include, but are not restricted to detention, temporary or permanent loss of computer privileges.

6. Students should follow classroom directions and do their best.

 

 

 

 

7.  Students are expected to follow our lab safety rules at all times.  Science is a laboratory-oriented class with experiments and hands-on investigations being an essential part to learning. 

    Students must handle glassware, chemicals, heated substances, plants and other unique materials with care. 

    Students must protect eyes, face, hands and body while conducting an experiment with the appropriate equipment. 

    Student should only converse with their lab partner(s) during a lab to help remain focused. 

    Students must ask for help from the teacher when unsure of how to proceed. 

    Failure to follow the safety rules may result in removal from the class, phone call home, a grade of zero on the lab and possible exclusion from other labs. 

    Students are required to notify the teacher of any accidents, mishaps or spills immediately. 

    The teacher will not be held responsible for students flagrantly or intentionally not following safety rules or instructions.
